Katie earned her BS degree from the University of Washington and subsequently worked several years in the Seattle biotech scene. Her experience has been primarily focused in research where she has performed in diverse areas from assisting in management of genotyping mouse colonies in pulmonary oncology research to development of recombinant yeast strains in production of monoclonal antibodies for migraine therapy.
She currently resides in Hawaii where she continues in laboratory operations at S&G Labs in a variety of roles helping the flow of results in a timely manner as well as assisting in QC/QA activities. She also holds a current State of Hawaii DOH Clinical Laboratory License.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, working on renovation projects, and soaking up the sun.
